WELCOME TO VALE DA FORNA
Our farm is located at the heart of Serra da Estrela Natural Park, close to the small mountain village of Eirô in the district of Seia. Vale da Forna is a family farm of about 40 hectares with more than 300 years of history. For the past 20 years, we have been working to restore its ancient granite-walled shepherds' cottages and regenerate the farm's natural landscape. A big part of our nature restoration work includes wild-fire prevention activities such as cleaning up the land and planting fire-resistant indigenous oak and chestnut trees. We aim to continue to work on regeneration of habitats and to bring wildlife back to Vale da Forna by letting nature take the driving seat. We look forward to welcoming you in one of our rustic granite lodges for your next adventure in Serra da Estrela Natural Park.
